Norwegian Cruise Line
PODCAST PRODDUCTION | SET DESIGN
Campfire Creative partnered with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) to produce a series of culture-building podcasts designed for internal use by their 30,000+ employees. From the start, the goal was clear: create an engaging, authentic experience that didn’t feel overly corporate.
To achieve this, we designed and built the Anchorline Podcast set, traveling to Miami a few days ahead of the first recording to bring our vision to life. The result was an immediate success. Inspired by the impact of the initial episodes, the executive team set their sights even higher—asking if we could take the production onboard one of their ships.
We embraced the challenge, knowing that not only could we film on a ship, but we also had to make the set fully transportable. After refining the design, we condensed the entire set onto a single cart and packed all production equipment onto another. The on-ship episodes were filmed aboard the Regent Grandeur, and the success of these recordings has led to plans for future episodes on ships from NCLH’s other brands, including Oceania Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line.
In addition to the podcast, we had the opportunity to capture documentary-style content at an innovative design event, where department leaders collaborated to envision and develop new features for NCLH’s 2030 fleet of cruise ships.
We’re incredibly proud of our work with NCLH and look forward to continuing this creative journey with our friends for many years to come!
